15 Months and All's Well

Today was our 15 month check up and it looks like we're doing all the right things. Drinking from only sippy cups? Check. Eating on their own? Check. Saying 4-6 words? Check with a vocab of over 10 words each. Sleeping at night? Check and knock on wood. Maitaining a huge size difference even though they eat, sleep, and play the same? CHECK.

That's right, I am realizing more and more why people ask me, "How far apart are they?" all of the time. Eva measured up at 21 lb. 3 oz. 30 inches long (25th% for each) and Reid is 27 lb. 1 oz 32.5 inches long (75-90th% each). He's broadened the gap between them to 6 lbs. Even the doctor commented how he could be mistaken for a 3 year old. A 3 YEAR OLD. Yep, so I guess they could be that far apart in age. Sigh. And by the way, you should see the looks I get when I tell people, in response to the question afforementioned, "One minute."

For comparisons sake for those who have not seen them lately, here's a side-by-side from dinner tonight:

Here are some candids we took from Valentine's Day morning before school:

And a few more just for the fun of it that were taken on their actual 15 month birthday. Eva and Michael Strahan have something in common...

Da-da

Ross has been out of town since Monday morning and we all have a case of the 'Da-da blues.' We pull into the driveway every afternoon and I hear from the back seat, "Da-da?" in symphony. Da-da usually comes out to help us get in the house, but no Da-da. Thank God for Meema and Papa. They have been true lifesavers and wonderful stand-ins for Da-da! I don't have any pictures to post because the memory on my camera is full and I haven't burnt them to CD yet. Just wanted to say,"Come home, Da-da. We all miss you!"
